Please join us in watching the Premier Lacrosse League at the TCO Stadium on June 28, 2024, and June 29, 2024. These tickets are at the Group Ticket rate given to WULAX as a result of our partnership with PLL for the Black and Blue Tournament. WULAX teams will be seated in the same are so we can enjoy the PLL games on Friday and Saturday.

April 24, 2024, and April 25, 2024, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at M Health Fairview Sports Center (Attend appropriate age level only) - Coaches to attend Pre Season Camp for live in person training/practice of season drills.
April 28, 2024, 7:00-8:30 pm at ES Lacrosse - ALL COACHES MEETING: Welcome Meeting for all coaches / Equipment Hand-out / Coach Code of Conduct. This year all coaches will be required to register with USA Lacrosse, have a background check conducted and complete trainings to obtain a Bronze Level certification. All U12/U14 Head coaches are required to obtain Silver Level certification. Both certifications if not already obtained will be reimbursed from WULAX with proof of certification. Returning coaches who have completed Level 1 Certification should have had their certification changed to Bronze Level automatically on USA Lacrosse. Girls and Boys Official will be present to discuss rule changes / Coach Coordinator Alain Rodrigue will be presenting a Coach Manual with information for practice and game play for the Summer Season.

Preseason Camp (additional fee): The Preseason Camp will be held at M Health Fairview Sports Center.
Outdoor Practices: Begin once the city opens the fields, typically late April and early May (also depends on coach availability). Practice days/times for U12/U14 are not set until late April or early May once coaches are assigned to teams (although practices will be at least 2 days a week, typically Mon-Thurs; the older age groups may practice 3 days week). We will have one team of 8U Boys, 8U Girls and 10U Girls practice on Mon/Wed, and one team of 8U Boys, 8U Girls and 10U Boys practice on Tues/Thurs. Practice days may change based on Coach availability and game schedules. Practice days are subject to change once the regular season game schedules are released at the end of May.
Games: Begin the first or second week of June.
Team Pictures: Team pictures are scheduled for June 3, 2024, on Green Field 17 from 5pm to 8pm (weather permitting). Sign-up sheets will be sent out to coaches once teams are formed.

Woodbury United Lacrosse is a 501(c)3 non-profit community organization that supports lacrosse in the City of Woodbury. All players who wish to play lacrosse are welcome at all ages. Registration opens in early January and closes in March.
All board members and parent coaches are volunteers. As a growing sport, we rely on dedicated parents to support the program in a variety of roles.
The lacrosse leagues Woodbury participates in are administered by Youth Lacrosse Minnesota (boys) and Minnesota School Girls Lacrosse Association (girls). Here is a tentative timeline for the upcoming season:

Summer registration fees pay for non-parent coaches, YLM/MsLax team registration fees, fields/facilities rentals, official, tournaments entry fees, background checks, insurance, preseason scrimmages, medical field coverage, equipment and uniforms.
Woodbury hosts the Black & Blue summer lacrosse tournament. One of the largest association only lacrosse tournaments in the Midwest. The tournament is slated to be held on June 29th -30th. This is currently the only fundraiser we run as an association and we rely on parents to fulfill their required Dibs volunteer hours during this tournament. There are generally few or no other volunteer opportunities (except for team manager and coaching), so plan to volunteer this weekend or arrange to have someone pick up your volunteer hours for you to avoid the additional fee.

We are VERY excited to announce that registration for our 2024 Woodbury Black and Blue Tourney is officially open. What is even more exciting is that we get to share with all of you that we have officially partnered with the PLL to bring you a tourney like no other. If you are like us, you were disappointed to hear that the PLL didn't select MN as one of the first 8 teams, however, keep your hopes alive as they are coming back to play this summer at TCO Stadium again.

The spring lacrosse leagues Woodbury participates in are administered by Great Northern Lacrosse League (GNLL) for boys and girls.
Here is the information for the upcoming season:
14U and 12U 6 Games (Doubleheader on Weekend and Jesse James Tournament (Boys) and Girls Spring Youth Tournament)
10U 6 Games (Doubleheader on Weekend and Jesse James Tournament (Boys) and Girls Spring Youth Tournament)
8U 6 Games (Doubleheader on Weekend and Jamboree)
Equipment
Spring registration fees includes league fees, officials, coaches, uniforms, Indoor Practices at the MAC Lacrosse Center, games and a tournament or Jamboree.
Teams will be filled based on a first registered/first rostered basis. Once recommended roster sizes are reached players will be placed on a waiting list for possible placement. Waiting list players will be offered an opportunity to practice with teams at a reduced rate.
*Recommended roster sizes:
14U / 12U: 18-20 athletes per team
10U: 13-15 athletes per team
8U: 12-14 athletes per team
Team formation and practices will begin in Early April with games starting the weekend of April 13 and 14.
It is the intention of "WULAX" to have one team at each age level for boys and girls.
There will be optional clinics offered in March and April prior to tryouts to all registered participants. Details will be communicated once available.
In the event the numbers are such that your child isn't placed on a team as a result of being placed on a waiting list and the player does not want to participate in reduced rate practices, a full refund will be given. Additionally, our registration does allow for a certain percentage of "non-resident" kids to play. With that said, the first criteria considered when forming teams is giving priority to "residents".
