Weather Delays:

If we experience 30 minute weather delays due to audible thunder or lightning, score/time table volunteers will be expected to remain with their assigned games.

Heat Index:

The NOAA website (www.weather.gov) can be consulted for the current heat index.  If necessary, confirm with officials how water breaks and running time should be handled.

Mandatory Water Breaks:

Games played under the Heat Index Warning require mandatory water breaks each quarter for one or two minutes depending on the Heat Index Level.  The running time for each quarter will also be reduced by one or two minutes depending on the corresponding Heat Index Level.  The game and penalty clock stop during these water breaks.  No coaching is permitted during water breaks.
