If trying lacrosse for the first time there is an option to rent or purchase equipment at East Side Lacrosse in Woodbury. www.eslacrosse.com

Player evaluations will be conducted by age group at the HealthEast Sports Center field house in late March and early April. Team formation and practices will begin in late April or early May. The evaluation process will be conducted by 3rd party evaluators to ensure a fair, and unbiased evaluation.

It is the intention of "WULAX" to have an "A" team at the U12 and U14 age groups.  If there's more than one (1) team at the U8 and U10 age groups, the attempt will be to split the talent level evenly.  The same goes if there are multiple "B" teams at the U12 and U14 age groups.

There will be optional clinics offered in March and April prior to tryouts to all registered participants.  Details will be communicated once available.

It's the goal of "WULAX" to place every registered player on a team.  In the event the numbers are such that your son isn't placed on a team as determined by the player evaluation, a full refund will be given.  Additionally, our registration does allow for a certain percentage of "non-resident" kids to play. With that said, the first criteria considered when forming teams in giving priority to "residents".

Registration Requirements:

During the registration you will be asked a number of questions including:
1. Name, gender, and age of each player you are registering
2. Parent/guardian and emergency contact information
3. Player's medical history/issues
4. Player's US Lacrosse membership number (see note below)

If you are registering more than one player, you will be asked if you would like to register another right before the checkout page - keep any eye out for the message and you'll save yourself a few minutes.

Medical and Insurance:

Please make sure to be very clear in the Medical Information section about any medical issues that could potentially affect your child’s well-being.

This includes noting prior concussion(s), severe injuries, such as bone fractures, ligament/tendon tear, neck or back injuries - anything that you would like the coaching staff to be aware of.
Also make note of all severe allergies (food, insect, etc.) and whether or not your child carries with them an Epi Pen, Inhaler, etc.

US Lacrosse partners with Bollinger Insurance to provide Woodbury United Association Members (Coaches, Members, Players) liability coverage as required by city and state mandates.
Every player must have a current US Lacrosse membership through August 31, 2023.
The cost of the annual membership is $30.00 for ages under 15.

If you are uncertain of the current expiration date of your membership, click Here.

Uniforms:

Details will be communicated once available.

Family Volunteer Commitment:

The Black & Blue Lacrosse Tournament is critical to the program and is the only fund-raising event of the season and we need everyone’s help.
Each family who registers a child to play lacrosse will be scheduled for four (4) hours of time to work at the Woodbury Black and Blue Lacrosse Tournament July 14-16, 2023. Families with two or more children registered will be asked to do six (6) hours.
You may choose to opt out of these volunteer duties by paying an additional $300 with your registration. The fee will be used to help find and pay for hiring outside workers in your place.
If you do not opt-out during registration but then fail to work at the tournament, you will be billed for the $300 volunteer fee and your child will be removed from the program until the volunteer fee is paid.
Tournament volunteer opportunities will be listed on our DIBS page in early July.
DIBS opportunities completed by you will satisfy your 4-hour minimum requirement.

Roles include: Time/Score Keeper, Set-up/Tear-down, Food Sales, Concession Sales, and more.

Cancellation / Refund Policy:

For Summer Field Lacrosse registrations (i.e. joining a WULax team): A full refund will be given up to the point when teams have been formed. After teams have been formed and posted no refunds will be given.

If a player has an injury prior to the start of the league season (season starts with the first practice after team formation), and a medical note from a registered physician is provided, a full refund will be given. There are no refunds for injuries occurring after the start of the league season.

WULax reserves the right to cancel a league season due to lack of numbers. In such a case, a full refund will be given.
